World Champs – Last 8 Finish For Rebecca

Yesterday Rebecca McGowan (pictured centre) was competing for GB at the world taekwondo championships in Manchester. Rebecca made it through to the quarter finals after beating Colombia and the Netherlands but was unfortunately beaten by Korea. Korea made it through to the final on Thursday night where she won the event in front of the Manchster Arena crowd.

Rebecca is still only 18 and this was her first World’s. Well done from everyone at the club. Olympic champion Chu Mu Yen decided he wanted in on the pic too

February Grading Results!

Promotion to 6th Dan

Head instructor John Haggerty was promoted to 6th Dan in December of last year.  Now his Kukkiwon certification has arrived from Korea – the home of taekwondo.  If you would like to join our Kukkiwon regsitered club then email us at info@caledoniantkd.com
